TODAY IN HIS WORD COMES FROM
(Isa 60:20-22 ESV)
Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself;
the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended.
Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land forever,
the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified.
The least one shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation;
I am the Lord; in its time I will hasten it.
THOUGHT TO PONDER:
Our time of sadness will end… our time to be led out in joy will come. What an incredible promise this is from God. One way or the other there will be a sunrise, and when the right time comes, God Himself will be our Light.
TODAY’S INSIGHT INTO HIS WORD:
Dear Friend, please know God really is for you and is on your side. We are His people. YOU ARE HIS PEOPLE, the branch He has planted so that His greatness will be seen by others. Take heart in today’s passage-- it doesn’t have to be with many. God can (and very often does) do great things with just a little. You do not have to have a huge family, or be a part of a large group in order for God to move mightily through you. God can take the smallest seed and grow something amazing from it for others to see. He can take your hand and bring forth abundant blessings that will affect many others. He just looks for a heart that is willing.
I like the way today's passage reads in the NCV: Your sun will never set again, and your moon will never be dark, because the LORD will be your light forever, and your time of sadness will end. All of your people will do what is right. They will receive the earth forever. They are the plant I have planted, the work of my own hands to show my greatness. The smallest family will grow to a thousand. The least important of you will become a powerful nation. I am the LORD, and when it is time, I will make these things happen quickly.
Take a deeper look at the ending of our verse today, "when it is time…" Do not let the enemy rob you of God’s blessings because it is taking longer than you first thought. Take to heart that when it is time; God’s promise will come to pass. God can do incredible things very quickly when He is ready. The same almighty God who said “let there be light” can bring forth new life into your life with just His command. Sometimes the best roast is the one that has simmered all day long while the family has been away. If need be, let God’s promised blessing simmer until He says He is ready.
My friend, I've been praying about something that I know God has shown me, and the phrase "His hands" keeps coming back to me. So I know that what I have been praying about is "in His Hands." It just hasn't come to fruition yet. But something else keeps coming to mind and that is "in the right time." So, I did a Biblical word study and the term, "the right time" came up 43 times! Meaning that if God's Word says, at the right time-- then it must also mean that there is a WRONG time. My friend, every time you push to do it your way, before God is ready, you will wish you hadn't. God's perfect will is always so much better. My friend, even Jesus worked within God's time frame. Two different times He replied to others, "My time has not yet come." Look at the following verses.
"Dear woman, why do you involve me?"
Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come."
(John 2:4 NIV)
"You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast,
for My time has not yet fully come."
(John 7:8 NKJV)
But take heart-- the right time DOES come. There will be a point when God says, "I am ready." My friend, know that if the season has been a LONG season, rest assured that it does pass, and seasons do change. There will be a time when you too will hear God's Word: Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, 'The vision that he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.' Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed," declares the Lord GOD (Ezek. 12:27-28 NASB).
Or to read it in a different version: "So say to them: 'The Lord God says this: None of my words will be delayed anymore. What I have said will be done, says the Lord God' " (Ezek. 12:28 NCV).
Remember there truly is a season for all things. And in its time God will make everything beautiful. Sometimes it REALLY is hard to wait for something YOU KNOW GOD HAS PROMISED YOU, when it seems as if it will never get here. It can be easy to feel like throwing in the towel, but if you are willing to wait for God’s best, then when it finally does arrive, you will find it was worth the wait. PLUS God never does anything half way. God is not like us humans when we sometimes get only have the job done and then quit.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
(Eccl. 3:11 NKJV)
PRAYING IN FAITH;
Father God, what a good and faithful God You are. Lord, we praise You for being capable and able to do all that You say You will do. Lord, we praise You because Your Word is true, You are trustworthy and You always DO what You say You will do. Lord, thank You that You help us to walk in faith when we cannot see the way. Lord, thank You that You reach out and steady us when we cry out to You when we stumble. Father, I lift this reader up to you. Lord, I pray that You will strengthen them and help them to stay focused on You, until You are ready to move on their behalf. Lord, I pray that they will not lose heart as they wait for their seasons to change. Lord, I pray that they will stay on the path You would lead them as they walk towards Your perfect will for them.
In Christ Jesus Name,
~ Have a blessed day.
My friend, I would love to hear from:
What has God promised you? What does
He want to do in your life that will benefit those to come?
How is your faith today? Are you wavering or do you stand firm?
Where do you see yourself on His time-table?
Do you trust Him to bring it to pass?
