TODAY IN HIS WORD COMES FROM
(Ps 118:17-18 NIV)
I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
The Lord has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
THOUGHT TO PONDER:
There are times in our lives when we go through struggles of our own making, sometimes it is because of other people... and sometimes is it simply because God wants to do something new in our lives, and we have to let Him. But for whatever the reason, we can trust in one thing; we will see the Goodness of God.
TODAY’S INSIGHT INTO HIS WORD:
God is for us, God is with us, and God will bring us through. In our key verse today, I would like to make notice one word: "Will." Notice that the writer was confident, he said, "I will..."
When we sin and turn away from God, He will wait until the time has come to move, and if we do not turn around by our own accord, He will let circumstances start building up against us. We will start feeling the heat of our choices. God allows this to bring us to a point of repentance. And the wonderful thing is that "God WILL." So this is what the Lord says: "If you change your heart and return to me, I will take you back. Then you may serve me. And if you speak things that have worth, not useless words, then you may speak for me. Let the people of Judah turn to you, but you must not change and be like them" (Jer 15:19 NASB).
When we are going through struggles because of things that are out of our control, again "GOD WILL."
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers,
they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire,
you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you."
(Isa. 43:2 NASB)
And my friend, when God is doing something in your life-- to bring about something new in your life-- you can rest assured that He will not stop until He has brought it to fruition. He is not like many humans that will quit in the middle of a project. When God starts something, He always finishes it. And again in this, you will see that "GOD WILL."
"Though I scatter them among the peoples,
yet in distant lands they will remember me.
They and their children will survive, and they will return.
I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria.
I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.
They will pass through the sea of trouble;
the surging sea will be subdued and all the depths of the Nile will dry up.
Assyria’s pride will be brought down and Egypt’s scepter will pass away.
I will strengthen them in the LORD and in his name they will live securely,"
declares the LORD.
(Zech. 10:9-12 NIV)
My friend, rest in knowing that God is our God of Hope. God is a God of Love, and all is not lost. Keep your confidence in the fact that God is a GOOD GOD. This morning I would like to leave you with one final verse to hold on to:
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
(Ps. 27:13-14 NIV)
PRAYING IN FAITH:
Father God, thank You for Your Word You have given us today. Lord we praise You, our God of hope. Lord, we praise You because we know that You are a good and faithful God. Lord, help us to remain confident in this truth about You. Lord, may we honor and glorify you as we go out this day, knowing that You will see us through.
Father, I lift this reader up to You. Lord, may they stand firm in knowing that, they too will see Your goodness, and that at the right time, they will see You move on their behalf. Lord, I pray that they will have peace in knowing that You are with them and that nothing that come at them takes You by surprise, because You are all-knowing and You have already gone before them to prepare the way.
In Christ Jesus Name,
~ My friend, have a blessed day.
My Friend, what are you confident that you will see God do?
I would love to hear from you.
