And the Lord himself will give you a sign:
The Virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and she will name him Immanuel.
One final name I would like to look at and deeply acknowledge is simply the name LORD JESUS. You cannot come to the throne of God without first coming to Jesus. You cannot step into the very presence of God without the name of Jesus.
He is the “first born.” It doesn’t matter if you have siblings or not, or if you are the oldest or the youngest, Jesus is the ultimate BIG BROTHER. If you have ever felt like you never had anyone to watch your back, please know that you do have someone. If you have ever felt like no one cared, or no one would stand up for you, or that no one has ever stood beside you, please know Jesus is your someone!
By His stripes we have been forgiven, and because of His death we can be resurrected. Because of His love we have someone to stand beside us, stand up for us, intervene for us, pray for us, and lead us into the very presence of the Almighty God.
If you can’t remember any other name in this book, remember the name Jesus. If you get to a place where every thought goes blank, simply pray the name of Jesus. Please turn to Matthew 1 and look at verse 21: She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus. (Note: The name Jesus means “salvation.”)
I absolutely love John 6:37-39: “The Father gives me the people who are mine. Every one of them will come to me, and I will always accept them. I came down from heaven to do what God wants me to do, not what I want to do. Here is what the One who sent me wants me to do: I must not lose even one whom God gave me, but I must raise them all on the last day.”
In your heart did you hear that? Jesus said He couldn’t and wouldn’t lose even one of His people. My friend, know that Jesus has walked into the very pit of hell to reach you, to save you, and to deliver you. He has shown unconditional love for each one of us and the enemy cannot (and WILL NOT) take out of Christ’s hand that which belongs to Him.
Jesus said He was “the way, the truth and the life” and that no one could come to the Father, except through Him. He is the door to eternal life and forgiveness. (Read John 14:1-7.) Jesus told His followers that He and God were one. You can’t separate the two. You can’t get one without the other. You can’t have God without His Son. And Jesus said that if we accepted, loved, and obeyed Him, then He and God would come to live with us. Read John 14:23: “My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
How incredibly awesome is that! Signed, sealed, and delivered with God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. We have been bought and paid for, stamped approved, and delivered with an ultimate promise that when we reach our final destination, it will be a heavenly home where God Himself will, “Wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying or pain, because all the old ways are gone” (Rev. 21:4).
If you ever wonder if there will be an end to your heartache, trials, tribulations, and storms, if you ever look at the canyons in your life and wonder how you are going to make it across, if you ever look at the horizon and wonder if the clouds will ever break, or if you ever look out at the darkness of night and wonder if daybreak will ever come, my friend, know that Jesus says, “I am here, I am the One.”
Jesus, the One who says these things
are true, says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
♥ PRAYING IN FAITH
Father God, how we thank You for Your beloved Son, Christ Jesus. Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness which is extended to us through His sacrifice.
Lord God, when I think of the suffering that Christ endured so that we may have everlasting life with you, it is more than my heart can understand. Lord, I pray for this dear reader. Father God, I pray that if they have never personally accepted Your Son as their Savior, that they will today. Father, I also pray that if at one point they have, but their relationship with You has suffered or become distant, then they will bow their heads and renew their commitment to You. Lord God, I pray that even now, they will feel strengthened in You.
Lord, we praise You for Your willingness to forgive, cleanse, and restore us. Thank You that through Christ, we can become new. Thank You that each morning allows us to begin in a fresh way to walk with You. Lord, help each of us to never take that for granted. Father God, bind us to You. Lord, help us not to become distracted by anything that would take our eyes off You. Lord, help us not to forget all that You have done and continue to do for us.
In Christ Jesus’ name I pray,
♥ If you have never said a prayer accepting Christ or if you aren’t sure where to begin, or maybe it’s been a long time and would like to return to Him, then the following leading prayer is for you.
Prayer for Salvation:
Father God, I come before You. Lord, the Bible says Jesus stands at the door and knocks; and that if anyone hears and opens this door, that He will come in. Lord, I hear You and I am opening the door.
Lord, I open my heart to You and accept Your invitation. Please come in and be Lord in my heart, and Lord of my life. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I confess to You that I am a sinner, but I ask for Your forgiveness and I ask to be made new. Thank You that I can be washed and cleansed in Christ’s blood that He has shed for me so that I may be forgiven.
Father God, for the rest of my life I declare that You are my God and that Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died on the cross for me. I believe that You resurrected Him and He now lives at Your right hand, and it is in Him that I am set free. Thank You for the grace that You have given me.
Lord, please come in to my life and teach me how to walk with You and live my life for You. Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and make Your home in me until I come to be eternally at home with you.
I praise You, my Father God, and Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior,
In Christ Jesus’ Name,
