TODAY IN HIS WORD COMES FROM
(Ecc. 11:5 NASB)
Just as you do not know the path of the wind
and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman,
so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things.
THOUGHT TO PONDER:
In the same way you cannot know how a seed is developing that has been planted in the ground, and is now out of sight; you can not know how God is working things out for you behind the scene of your circumstances that you are in now.
TODAY’S INSIGHT INTO HIS WORD:
My friend what an amazing thought to have, to know that whatever comes to you (or) at you today, has already been sifted though God's Hand. He has already seen this day in your life, and know that He has been at work long before you reached this point.
The other day two of my sons were with me at the grocery store, and one of them asked if we could pick up a cake for after dinner that night-- so we went over to the bakery. There on the main self, was a delicious looking lemon pound cake, (my middle son's favorites), just waiting for us. Mason took one look at it and immediately turned his blue eyes to me with a, "Mom, please..." and yes, we had lemon pound cake after dinner that night.
But what really got me to thinking this morning after reading today's verse, was that; before we ever went to the store, someone had to make that cake so that it would be ready for we got there. However, way before that person could bake the cake; eggs, flour, and sugar... all had to be brought in. Someone had to supply the supplies... which means before this could even happen other things had to take place. Have you ever wondered who collected the eggs? Just think way before my sons' and I ever went to the store, someone down the line had to collect the eggs. That person had no idea where the eggs would be sent to, or what they would be use for, they were just going about their day doing what they were suppose to do.
My friend, God does the same thing for us. He sees the bigger picture and He already knows what is ahead of us. And because of this, He sets things into motion for us long before we ever get to that point in our lives. No matter how much something may have seem to just "instantly happened," it didn't. God's hand was in it way before it ever came into sight.
A Scripture I always find strength in is Genesis 28, When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it” (vs 16 NIV). When Jacob laid down that night to sleep, God gave him a vision and a promise to take with him on his journey, and when he (Jacob) woke up he realized he had been in the presence of God and hadn't known it until God revealed His Hand to Jacob.
One more verse I would like you to read and think about today, comes from Job 9:4-6
His wisdom is profound, His power is vast.
Who has resisted Him and come out unscathed?
He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in His anger.
( taken from the NIV)
My friend, if God can move mountains without them being aware of it, then take comfort in the fact that, He can orchestrate things in Your life too-- without you being aware of it. Know that even if YOU cannot see God's hand print in your circumstances at the moment, it doesn't mean He hasn't been active. If just means it isn't time for Him to reveal His movement to you, but know that at some point He will. And then you will be able to look back and see that He has been with you the whole time-- you just weren't aware of it. In the same way that you can hear the wind but not see it, the Lord is already moving, and has been working on your behalf.
And... you do not know-- what you do not know YET
PRAYING IN FAITH:
Father God, thank You that You are always with us. Thank You that long before we cross the road ahead of us, You have already been there. Thank You that You are preparing the way for us.
Lord, I thank You for this reader who is following along me in Your Word today. Lord, please be with them and watch over them. Lord, I pray that You will make Yourself known to them in amazing ways. Father, I ask that You would bless them in a meaningful way today, so that they will know, and be able to see that long before they arose today, You have already set things in motion for them. Lord I ask You to help keep their eyes open to see You in even the smallest of things.
In Christ Jesus Name,
~ My friend, have a Blessed day.
Your turn: Something to think about:
- In what way has God done something in your life, but only afterwards did you realized that He had been there all along moving things on your behalf?
- What Mountains has God moved for you?
" I am with you and will protect you everywhere you go and will bring you back to this land.
I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."
(Gen. 28:15 NCV)
- What has God promised you that You are believing Him to "bring you back too?"
